CLUB BOW RIVER CLEAN UP
May 3rd, 2008
This year we will be picking up trash in the Policeman’s Flats area and have arranged to make use of a riverbank site a few hundred yards downstream of the original Policeman's Flats boat launch.   Bags for garbage and recyclables will be provided at the site as well as a BBQ lunch for the hungry garbage crew. Oh, and one more thing… there just happens to be excellent walk & wade fishing in the immediate area, and a private boat launch on the site that will be available to our group!   So with that in mind, our agenda for the day is as follows:
9:30am   Meet at the clean up site (see below for directions)
9:45am – 12:30pm Garbage collection
12:30pm – 1:30pm   BBQ lunch (hotdogs, beverages & condiments)
1:30pm – Until you get tired Stick-waving
Directions:  
1. Heading south on Deerfoot Trail
2. At the DeWinton turnoff, head east on Dunbow Road
3. Turn North on 40th St S.
4. At the bottom of the hill turn right into the fenced corral.   (before turnoff to Policeman’s flats)
5. Take the open silver gated path inside the corral.
6. Follow dirt road to open area near river.

Group Campsite ‘C’ at Wyndham-Carseland Provincial Park on the nights of Friday July 25 and Saturday July 26 for the Bow River Fish-out.   This is our annual home stream event, with float and walk & wade fishing, barbecuing, and storytelling on the agenda.

As usual this event will be held at the Syncline A Group Camp near Beaver Mines, AB. Too many trout streams and lakes   to list here.
